I think Gatsby is neither good nor bad. I think hes not good because he cares about the superficial stuff too, and puts up this fake persona of himself, just like the others. He's also not bad because his intentions weren't completely bad, he was a victim of the people he surrounded himself with. People who didn't care for him, but were only interested in him because he had something they wanted.
ReplyDeleteI think Gatsby is dynamic, because when he goes in depth with his past, he started off as a guy who only hung out with rich guys to take their possessions, but as soon as he met Daisy, he suddenly changed his ways, but became very distant when he wemt to Oxford. So Gatsby is both, in my opinion.
