Wait did he drown.. sorry I got lost
ReplyDeleteSo I think it's about a man in the search for love?
ReplyDeleteI could understand that J. Alfred Prufrock asks his friend to go with him to get coffee through the red light district, walking by "sawdust restaurants". Then he listens to a woman talking about Michelangelo and he never talks to her.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure but is Prufrock searching for love which leads to that he is desiring to marriage and immortality since he used "peach" as a whole different meaning???
ReplyDeleteit is about a man searching for love everywhere but when he seems to find it, it vanishes. It's also referring to how love doesn't come easily. You have to search before you find. Learn to fall so you can get back up.
ReplyDeleteThis poem got me confused with some parts. I understood how he was looking for love and how looking for love isnt easy to find. What does "Deferential, glad to be of use" mean? Was he once used before?
ReplyDeletei felt like the poem was all over the place for me like was he in love or looking for love ?
ReplyDeleteThe beginning is confusing. Rereading it made me have a little bit of an understanding not enough though. Towards the end some lines seem to show insecurity
