To help prepare for the Internet/security part of the course after Spring Break, please read
and answer the following questions in a comment to this post:
- Do you hate Facebook? Why/why not?
- What social media do you use? Why do you use it?
- On a scale of 1-10 (1 being "not at all concerned" and 10 being "in a full panic") how concerned are you about your life online? Are you worried about how you're seen, what will follow you into adulthood, what will be stolen or used against you? Or, nah, not so much?
- What do you want to see me cover in class about the Internet/data/security/etc?
I Don't like Facebook because of the ads they have added which makes the app unlikable. I would rather use snapchat or instagram because they do not make you watch any ads before a video. On a scale from 1-10 I would say I am a 3 on being concerned about my life online because I always put my accounts as private so that only my friends can see my posts.
ReplyDeleteI personally don’t like facebook because it gets boring now and when When you’re in your newsfeed it’s basically the same thing every time. I use to use Snapchat and instagram a lot because I felt that it was better and you can see pictures or videos of friends/ celebrities having fun and enjoying life. I say for me I’m a 4 , I prefer being privacy so that other people won’t be stalking my accounts. I would want to go over everything in our class
ReplyDeleteFor me, I don't hate Facebook, I just don't like Facebook. I stopped using Facebook because it became boring. I don't want to know what others are doing and all I see on Facebook is pictures teens post of themselves sometimes saying dumb things. Teens tend to post dumb things and try to start drama and act tough on Social media and I dislike that. At the moment I'm not using any social media to get back on track with school and talk to people in person rather then on social media only. The only app I'm using is messenger to message. I was using Snapchat and Instagram to talk to people and to ask for homework and keep in touch with my teammates when I had a project. I would also use them to post pictures that I took and liked. For me, I would say I'm a 2 about how concern I am on my social medias. I don't really mind about what is out their of me and I try to think about what I'm going to post on social media before i post it.

ReplyDeleteI don't hate Facebook but It's not my favorite social media, because it's not really interesting no more. I haven't being too active in social media but I prefer using Instagram instead of using snapchat, twitter or Facebook. The reason why I like to use Instagram is because is easy to discover things because it's always something new. In a scale of 1 to 10, I'll say I am at 5 because sometimes I wonder how people view my social medias but at the same time I don't post inappropriate stuff so I'm not really worry about the things I had post. What I'll want to go over in class is about the security on the internet because although I haven't done anything dumb in social media, I want to have the knowledge about securing my account.
ReplyDeleteI used to like Facebook but now people don’t even express themselves on there they just share memes. Instagram and Snapchat are more used now and people actually express themselves and show their interests on those. Id say I’m a 4 on a scale from 1-10 because I don’t really feel unsafe on the internet but it’s still something you have to keep in consideration because it’s your privacy. I use social media to entertain myself when I’m bored and when I want to share pictures and text my friends so I’m on them a lot which I want to change btw.

ReplyDeleteNo, I do not hate Facebook because I simply don’t have hatred in my heart (: I use any social media like Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, the BLOG and more that I don’t use often. I use all these social media’s for my sneaker business and also to connect with people. On a scale of 1-10 of how panicked I am about my identity online is a 1. I’m not concerned at all because I’m actually proud of what I have done. I would like you to cover an in depth topic about online security, hacking, and all that stuff.
